Denys Wells, Alexandria, Eastern Cape: Blue Tick Resistance Study

Denys had a resistance level measured before the Study, to all acaricides of 77%. These are the first pictures after the Analysis was done and an effective chemical combination was selected to start with the process of breaking the resistance.
It was a dry year in 2008, and feeding was necessary. Because of the coastal moisture, the draught had no effect on the ticks life cycle.
